Kush 21 offers 1% off entire purchase per canned good item donated up to a max of 15% per customer per day!

The Holiday Season is upon us, and Kush 21 in Burien is certainly feeling moved by the holiday spirit! The shop was the first in town and has worked tirelessly to not only create a name for themselves, but also to substantiate themselves as being one of the best things to happen to the town. They are proving that again with a canned food drive they are putting on in their shop in partnership with Northwest Harvest located in historic Kent.

Their canned food drive extends through the end of the year, and to offer extra incentive to donate, customers can receive 1% off their entire purchase for each food item they donate, with a maximum of up to 15% off per person, per day. This means that if you bring in 15 cans of food, you can get up to 15% off your entire purchase every day until 2017! Not only is that a chance to stock up on the cheap, but also to give back to the surrounding community and make sure that fewer people go hungry around the holidays. If the weed alone didn’t make you feel good enough, now you get some spiritual cleansing as well!

As if that wasn’t enough, Kush 21 is also working on organizing a Coat and Warm Clothes Drive that we should have more details soon on. The temperatures are dropping outside, and the shop doesn’t want to see anyone go unnecessarily cold, and we applaud their humanitarian efforts. It’s always nice to see others giving back because the feeling is infectious, and taking part in the cause just makes you feel better about the state of the world, even in the most trying times.

Kush 21 in Burien certainly is in the holiday spirit!

Also, Kush 21 will be offering Christmas Specials where they will offer 5 different products ranging from 10-25% off each day through the holiday. And if you forgot to stock up, don’t worry, because they want to make sure that no one has to spend the holidays without herb! The shop will be open both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day to provide Christmas cheer and Christmas Cheeba.

Be sure to get down to Kush 21 before the end of the year and bring some canned goods along with you if you want to receive their great discounts! The shop is located at 17730 Ambaum Blvd. S in Burien, and is open from 9a-11p daily. You certainly won’t regret it!

Expect pot shops in Downtown Seattle

January 12, 2016 By Manic Conrad

downtown Seattle

On Monday, the City Council voted to make buffer zones smaller for marijuana retail stores. Previously, the state law required a 1,000 foot buffer.

The buffer has been reduced to 500 feet from certain establishments such as daycares, parks, etc. The 1,000 foot buffer between schools and pot shops stays in effect.

The buffer is reduced even further to 250 feet in downtown. This will make it easier for visitors to the city to purchase marijuana instead of trekking to other parts of the city.

The vape craze: Smoking vs. vaping marijuana. Is vaping better for you than smoking weed?

January 8, 2016 By Manic Conrad

smoking vs vaping marijuana

As vaporizers become more and more popular, the debate between smoking vs. vaping marijuana becomes louder and louder. Is smoking marijuana better for you, or is vaping better? Those who have experience with both marijuana and e-liquides will have a more informed opinion on the matter having had relationships with and subsequent effects from both.

We already have several companies in Washington State who manufacture and sell vaporizers. Most notably, Vuber Technologies who specialize in oil and herb vaporizers and Fez, who sells a stylish dry herb vaporizer in 3 different colors.

Our friends at Vapingwise.com have created an infographic to argue the point that vaping weed is better for you as opposed to smoking. If what they are saying is true (that vaping is better for you then smoking), then you might want to check out these vape & dab pen batteries if you are interested in vaping. Although it is sometimes difficult to determine what the best vaping equipment is for you and it makes no sense to waste money on things that you simply do not need. You can get advice on what kinds are vapes will work for you and what the best vape mods are so that you are not struggling to find one that you like and that is also efficient. Quitting smoking altogether would be the best solution. But this is easier said than done. As there are many solutions to quitting smoking, there is always a way forward. But if you have been smoking for a long time and have not yet found the strength to give this up, the idea of life insurance is going to be something that would play a big part in your life. Why not check out sites like www.moneyexpert.com if you want to find out more information regarding how life insurance will help you when it comes to being a smoker. Due to being a smoker, there are many risks associated with it, so life insurance is advisable, especially if you are looking to kick this habit.

Whilst it can prove to be vital for smokers, life insurance has also been designed to help with the financial situation of your family should you pass away, through a terminal illness or tragic accident. However, some people may decide to sell their life settlements if they find that they need this money for other things, but this can only be done if you’re over the age of 65 and have saved a certain amount of money. But if you decide to keep your insurance plan, it could be a lifesaver if anything were to happen to you. We all know that smoking is bad for your health, so anything you can do to quit smoking is always an advantage.

If you are someone who has been smoking for many years, it is not as easy to stop straight away. By switching to vaping, this may be an easier transition before you can stop for good. There are many vapes out there, like the Arizer Solo 2 that you may want to check out. There is no harm in trying in comparison to a lifetime of continuous smoking.

You can also use vaping to help you stop smoking if you wanted.

vaping vs smoking marijuana

What do you think? What is your experience with vaping? Do you think vaping is better for you or do you think it really isn’t that much different than smoking? What percent of your sessions are vaping compared to smoking?

Do you vape marijuana or smoke it? Select the one that best fits you.

Alcohol vs. Marijuana: ‘THC damages the immune system, alcohol does not’

December 17, 2015 By Manic Conrad

Alcohol vs marijuana

It is sometimes ridiculous and unbelievable, the stuff that gets published. Unfortunately, there is not enough accountability for blatant and potentially dangerous misinformation.

There is a site called: A Foundation for a Drug-Free World that ranks on the first page of Google for the term “marijuana,” and gets roughly 1,000,000 visitors a month. Meaning, almost 1,000,000 people a month is subject to misinformation. The tagline is: “Find out the truth about drugs.”

Want an example of of potentially dangerous misinformation? Look know further than the section titled: Alcohol vs. Marijuana. This is what the site states after claiming: ‘Here are the facts.’

  • Alcohol consists of one substance only: ethanol
  • THC damages the immune system. Alcohol does not

We can forgive them for the first statement. Maybe they didn’t do their research, or even just a quick Google search to find out that alcohol also contains a chemical known as Carbon Dioxide. Many people already take some immune-supporting and boosting medication to handle the damage alcohol causes, be it from Quantum Health or other providers. It is a fairly common thing that many do, and is usually known about by those who have experienced the damage.

But, to state that THC damages the immune system, alcohol does not? That is dangerous misinformation. This is the type of thing that should be illegal and they should be held responsible. Again, a quick Google search will find plenty of resources that dispute this, including this government site that states that ‘drinking too much alcohol weakens the immune system.’

Budtenders Ball: Police crash ‘weed party’ but the celebration goes on

November 20, 2015 By Manic Conrad

The DB3/Zoots sponsored Budtenders Ball happened last night at The Crocodile in Belltown. The private, industry only event, brought budtenders together from recreational marijuana stores throughout the city.

The show began at 8:30pm and lasted until 1:30am with musical performances by Pickwick and Fly Moon Royalty. Of course, we were looking forward to seeing Pickwick but wow, was Fly Moon Royalty great or what?!

Fly Moon Royalty

In addition to the musical guests, a charity raffle was held and door prizes were handed out. Proceeds of the raffle went to Mary’s Place, which is a charity that empowers homeless women, children, and families.

We spoke to two of the founding brothers who were in attendance, Dan and Patrick Devlin. They both were beyond thrilled with the generous turnout and expressed their excitement for the existing industry and the future. Patrick expressed that this event was a ‘celebration on many levels.’

Cannabus Seattle

One unforeseen event occurred a couple of hours after the event started. The CannaBus, which was parked outside the entrance, was ordered to shut down or move to a different location for the duration of the evening. The bus was catering to attendees by providing a refuge to consume cannabis since consumption was not allowed at the event.

Police The Cannabus The Crocodile

It appeared that someone may have complained about the smell of cannabis as a police officer was seen taking control of the situation. The officer acted very professionally and cordial. In fact, this may have been the tamest party crashing we have ever witnessed.

All in all, the Zoots sponsored event was a raving success. It’s events like this that remind us how lucky we are to be part of an industry where positive individuals come together from all walks of life.

Zoots knight

A special thanks to Zoots/DB3 and the Devlin brothers for putting on such a wonderful event, Kyle Mallory of Koopman Ostbo, Pickwick and Fly Moon Royalty for their noteworthy performances, all the budtenders who showed up representing their stores and industry, and the Cannabus for rolling with the punches while progressing the industry.
