Apache 6 Security: This is how you protect marijuana

July 13, 2015 By Ellie Klein

A longstanding security company in the legal marijuana industry, Apache 6 Security. Apache 6 offers discreet security systems and prominent advertising, paired with an honorable dedication to military veterans. This security company offers so much more than just surveillance systems; it offers a partnership to grow your cannabis business while making a serious difference in the lives of many people. Protecting businesses with seed to sale software in line with government compliance, can help businesses feel safe when distributing alongside their security protocols.

An important part of the Apache 6 mission is to give back to military veterans. The company does not hire employees, it recruits individuals with military backgrounds which span many different categories of skill sets, including surveillance. One individual who was recently recruited to join the Apache 6 team, Jason, is a former Army Ranger who single-handedly installed a surveillance program in Afghanistan for the troops. His next step is to secure all growers in Washington and Oregon. Along with surveillance specialties, the company has hired individuals with special forces backgrounds, and even former NFL players.

Apache 6 recruits people who have made an impact in their former line of work, both literally and figuratively. Because the company is branching out into other ventures, such as advertising, it is important to bring in people with expertise and an edge.

Advertising is something that the company has been recently focused on. The advertising that the company offers is unique in that it offers product placement on television, but not just any normal 60-second slot in between segments of your favorite show–rather, product placement in music videos with celebrities. Certain brands and labels are worn by celebrities in music videos and on tour. This form of advertising is very effective in the industry and clients who work exclusively with Apache 6 have access to these promotional perks.

Of course, Apache 6 is does not only promote brands which hired the company exclusively. The company simply cares about its team of military veterans and wishes to reward those who hire them. If a marijuana industry business is only interested in partially working with Apache 6, that business is still eligible for product promotion. However, celebrities usually only make an appearance in shops where the company is currently working.

Currently, Apache 6 is promoting 2Reps, a rap duo out of Portland. The company is shooting the duo’s “Mike Epps Presents: I Just Wanna Smoke Tour,” which will bring the people of Apache 6 with 2Reps on tour. Apache 6 is not only promoting the tour, it is also hosting the Mike Epps after party in Portland in August.

Apache 6 and 2Reps will soon host a video blog about dispensary tours around Washington, and likely Oregon, next year in the hopes of finding the “best pot, and the growers who made that possible.” Also, those who are currently working with Apache 6 will have an opportunity to hang out VIP style with Mike Epps next month. Furthermore, a few lucky brands will have the opportunity to raffle tickets at the World of Weed in Tacoma, Seattle Tonics in Seattle, and the GreenHead Cannabis in Vancouver. As you can see, partnering with Apache 6 has some intense perks, including advertising opportunities which span the Pacific Northwest.

How much is Weed in Washington State?

March 24, 2014 By Manic Conrad

marijuana strain with money

UPDATE: The legal weed industry is alive and kicking. You can purchase recreational pot at licensed Seattle marijuana stores.

Maybe you want to make sure you are getting the most green for your buck and not getting ripped off. Or maybe you just want to compare the price of marijuana, to other places in the country or the world. Or maybe you just want to know how much is weed in Washington State.

The marijuana industry, whether it’s legal, medical, black market, or whatever you want to call it, has been alive and well for thousands of years. In cities of every country across the globe, bought with dollars, euros, rubles, gold bars and more, this herb has been bought and enjoyed by billions throughout time.

But never in the history of the world, have we had fingertip access to cannabis prices in our home state, and the ability to compare those prices with other states and even countries. The guys over at www.priceofweed.com have created a fine website and database, to do just that.

Halfway down the homepage, click on the dollar sign above Washington State, you you will see that an ounce of high quality bud is just north of $234. To the right, you will see the current sample size of over 2500 people who have contributed to the data. The price of medium quality cannabis in Washington State is currently $191.37 an ounce with a sample size of more than 2600. And lastly, the price of low quality weed in Washington State is around $144 an ounce with a sample size of 120. Obviously, people in Washington prefer their quality bud – or maybe they just like to think what they are smoking is quality.

If you want to know how much is weed in Canada, you could search online on sites like low price bud. The same applies to any other city in the nation or world. You could see submissions from cities within the state on various sites, but not the city as a whole.

What is really neat about this website is you can compare the price of marijuana to other places such as our neighbors to the south: Oregon. By clicking on the dollar icon, you will see that the prices are slightly less for quality weed, and interestingly enough, they are more expensive for lower quality weed. You will also notice the sample sizes of people contributing are less than in Washington.

Scan the entire map and visually, by the color of the dollar signs (green=less expensive, red=more expensive), you will see that the overall prices for pot is more in the mid west and east coast, than the more relaxed west coast. Zoom out and you will see a really red dollar sign in Northern Canada. This tiny town known as Nunavut has a going rate of over $700 for an ounce high quality marijuana. Say what!!! Keep in mind, the sample size of contributors is really low and this may skew results. However, with the legalization of marijuana in Canada, these prices will go right down and you’ll be able to purchase quality cannabis from places like CannaCabana at a much more reasonable price.

Visitors are encouraged to sign up to the forums for free, to discuss the price of weed with people from other states, for the purpose of educating, traveling, and even meeting new people. And who knows, maybe you can find that special someone while discussing the price of an ounce of Purple Passion! Kind of joking.

Visitors to the site can also submit details of their latest purchase to contribute to the crowd sourced database. To submit, go to the top of the page and click on “Submit.” This link will open up a form where you can select where you are from, input the price you paid; and select the amount, the size, and the strain of cannabis. Click submit and you have become a contributing member of society!

While the site is a pretty cool concept, I wouldn’t take it as straight fact. Results can be skewed many different ways. For one, what is low quality weed to you, may be high quality to another. And what is high quality to one, may be low quality to another. Also, results can be skewed if the wrong price was accidentally submitted or maybe someone wanted to skew the results by inputting an exaggerated price. Then again, that is what sample sizes are for. The bigger the sample size, the less a result can be skewed.

At any rate, it’s a fun site to check out and compare the prices nationally and internationally, especially with the good ol’ home state of Washington. So there you have it: the price of weed in Washington State is between $144 and 234, depending on the quality. Now you can sleep better at night!
