Apache 6 Security: This is how you protect marijuana

July 13, 2015 By Ellie Klein

A longstanding security company in the legal marijuana industry, Apache 6 Security. Apache 6 offers discreet security systems and prominent advertising, paired with an honorable dedication to military veterans. This security company offers so much more than just surveillance systems; it offers a partnership to grow your cannabis business while making a serious difference in the lives of many people. Protecting businesses with seed to sale software in line with government compliance, can help businesses feel safe when distributing alongside their security protocols.

An important part of the Apache 6 mission is to give back to military veterans. The company does not hire employees, it recruits individuals with military backgrounds which span many different categories of skill sets, including surveillance. One individual who was recently recruited to join the Apache 6 team, Jason, is a former Army Ranger who single-handedly installed a surveillance program in Afghanistan for the troops. His next step is to secure all growers in Washington and Oregon. Along with surveillance specialties, the company has hired individuals with special forces backgrounds, and even former NFL players.

Apache 6 recruits people who have made an impact in their former line of work, both literally and figuratively. Because the company is branching out into other ventures, such as advertising, it is important to bring in people with expertise and an edge.

Advertising is something that the company has been recently focused on. The advertising that the company offers is unique in that it offers product placement on television, but not just any normal 60-second slot in between segments of your favorite show–rather, product placement in music videos with celebrities. Certain brands and labels are worn by celebrities in music videos and on tour. This form of advertising is very effective in the industry and clients who work exclusively with Apache 6 have access to these promotional perks.

Of course, Apache 6 is does not only promote brands which hired the company exclusively. The company simply cares about its team of military veterans and wishes to reward those who hire them. If a marijuana industry business is only interested in partially working with Apache 6, that business is still eligible for product promotion. However, celebrities usually only make an appearance in shops where the company is currently working.

Currently, Apache 6 is promoting 2Reps, a rap duo out of Portland. The company is shooting the duo’s “Mike Epps Presents: I Just Wanna Smoke Tour,” which will bring the people of Apache 6 with 2Reps on tour. Apache 6 is not only promoting the tour, it is also hosting the Mike Epps after party in Portland in August.

Apache 6 and 2Reps will soon host a video blog about dispensary tours around Washington, and likely Oregon, next year in the hopes of finding the “best pot, and the growers who made that possible.” Also, those who are currently working with Apache 6 will have an opportunity to hang out VIP style with Mike Epps next month. Furthermore, a few lucky brands will have the opportunity to raffle tickets at the World of Weed in Tacoma, Seattle Tonics in Seattle, and the GreenHead Cannabis in Vancouver. As you can see, partnering with Apache 6 has some intense perks, including advertising opportunities which span the Pacific Northwest.

Vendors and retailers are encouraged to advertise their products with Apache 6. The company is passionate about moving marijuana business forward while giving back to those who have served in our country’s military. It is no secret that Apache 6 offers amazing opportunities for those in the marijuana business; to reach them, email info@apache6.com. You won’t regret it.

A Security Guard’s Perspective: Be Extra Vigilant this Halloween

October 31, 2014 By Nacho

security keys

Halloween has always been a fun way to get free candy! Am I right? It was one of my favorite times of the year while growing up. As I got older, I started to hear and read the horror stories that went along with Halloween. People getting robbed or murdered in their own home, because they opened their doors to what they thought was a simple traditional gesture of handing out candy.

From a security stand point, those worries still concern me. Even more so now that we guard a cash only business. I recommend that every store open on halloween, whether it is a legal marijuana shop or a department store, take extra security measures to prevent from being robbed. Let’s find a way to be festive and secure. I was talking to one of my friends that works for a well-known security company and he told me that he’d seen a few mask-related incidents this Halloween. Luckily he was able to stop the criminals and they had to do their time in jail, but if he wasn’t there to guard the property who knows what might have happened! It’s sad that a handful of people are ruining the fun of Halloween for everyone. It’s supposed to be a fun, exciting time of the year! Not one that is notorious for crime!

As for recreational marijuana retail stores, I recommend you ask your customers to take off their mask or wigs when entering the facility. If they are carrying bags or any other large bags or items, ask to see inside them. It may be intrusive, but assure them it’s for their security and ours. If they refuse to show you inside their bag, then ask them politely to leave their bags in their cars. Again, assure them it’s for their security and yours. Most people will cooperate and completely understand. If you don’t feel comfortable asking customers to do this, you could always consider hiring some store security services. Those guards could attend your store for Halloween, ensuring that they only let safe customers inside the store. That could increase security significantly. Take no chances this Halloween. Let’s have fun and be safe!

Who To Follow? Top Active Seattle Marijuana Businesses on Social Media

October 14, 2014 By Manic Conrad

Top Seattle Marijuana businesses Social Media

If you ‘re a fan of marijuana, a fan of social media, and you live in Seattle, then you may be interested in some of the most active Seattle marijuana businesses on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. These local cannabis businesses do a fantastic job of showcasing their product, keeping us up to date with news, showing the latest advances in seed to sale tracking software, engaging the community, dropping some humor, and even some eye candy. And with the help of companies that provide the service of cannabis public relations services, it makes sense as to why this industry is one that many people have taken a lot of interest in. These companies leveraging the tools of social media may also want to consider marijuana wordpress hosting if they choose to build an online store or a blog. This would probably be extremely useful for upcoming marijuana businesses. Websites allow more people to find the store, encouraging them to purchase your products online. When developing a website, it’s so important to consider your website traffic. Many companies often forget to do this, meaning that their websites stop working when multiple customers are on there at the same time. To try and prevent this, it’s recommended that more companies consider contacting Apica Systems to check that their website will still load efficiently with increased website traffic. This is important to ensure that all customers have a positive experience on your website. As an upcoming marijuana business, it’s probably wise to consider this, especially as more people are likely to visit your website as a result of marketing and social media.

Cannabis City (Twitter / Facebook)

Ever since this retail marijuana store’s grand opening back in July, Cannabis City has been active on Twitter keeping the industry up do date with their product, when the State flag is lowered (which means they are out of marijuana due to limited supply), and whenever someone jams on a marijuana glass pipe!

Uncle Ike’s Pot Shop (Twitter / Facebook)

Uncle Ike’s Pot Shop has barely even opened and is as busy as anyone on social media. Whether it’s updating the cannabis menu, offering deals on certain strains of marijuana, some humor to brighten up your day, or even a video update of the church protest on their Facebook, the Central District pot shop has got it covered.

Leafly (Twitter)

This company is quickly become an icon of legal marijuana throughout the nation. It’s website is filled with information about cannabis strains and reviews by real people. It’s not surprising that their social media presence is as extensive, especially on Twitter, as they are constantly engaging with the community.

Analytical 360 (Twitter / Facebook)

This analysis laboratory is really good at promoting their new clients that walk through their door. Case in point, Craft Elixirs, whom just dropped off a batch of their cannabis-infused syrup last week. Analytical 360 also engages the community with some of the latest news.

Good Ol’ Bangs. This husband and wife team of marijuana growers just visited us in the Emerald City. Our guess is, they had some meetings lined up. We haven’t even tried their product yet – actually a lot of people haven’t because they are so new – but if their cannabis is at least half as good as their photos on Instagram, then we’re going to love it because their photos are eye candy to the max.

Here is another marijuana grower that’s dazzling us with photos. See, we like shiny things. But, not only does Avitas show off their product, but they also show off their fresh clean package design for their cannabis.

Apache 6 (Twitter)

This security team, who’s working at Uncle Ike’s Pot Shop, has been all over Twitter. Alerting the community, sharing opinions and expertise about the security aspect of the cannabis industry, and engaging with the community, are a few ways they use social media.

Looking to increase your own follower count before you go and follow lots of new accounts yourself? That’s understandable. With that in mind, you might want to learn about the different Instagram growth services available. These services, offered by companies like Upleap, can help you to develop a strategy for boosting your social traffic and, in particular, your number of real, organic followers. You do have to be careful which services you trust, although with Upleap reviewed by Platypus Reviews, you know that is one that you can trust.

Did we miss any? Do you know of a Seattle marijuana business, or a marijuana business in Seattle, that you think should be on this list? Let us know in the comment section!

Not All Marijuana Professionals Are Weed experts; Mirth Provisions’ Legal Beverages Delayed; and Weed Bus Keeps On Smoking

Not All Marijuana Professionals Are Weed experts, and It’s Better That Way

Not only do some marijuana professionals in the industry NOT consume cannabis, but some aren’t even considered experts when it comes to the popular herb. And guess what? It’s okay!

While there are some factions of the industry that’s best left to ones who are very knowledgeable with marijuana such as growers, there are some areas where it’s best that they are just good at what they do. Case in point, Apache 6, who provide security consultation for the recreational marijuana industry.

Not only does the ‘Team Leader’ admit he is no expert when it comes to marijuana on a recent blog post, the entire team claims to not smoke pot. But, they do support the industry and are placing their focus where their expertise is.

Can you imagine a security team led by the cast of the favorite stoner movie Dazed & Confused? Neither can we and are happy this group of professionals take their job seriously.

Check out their recent blog posts on their site to understand their thoughts and concerns about the local marijuana industry.

Mirth Provisions’ Legal Beverages Delayed a Week

The suspense is killing us! Especially since we were hoping these cannabis infused beverages would be available to sip on under the hot August sun! Now that the weather has turned a little cooler, our dream is disappearing. But – not to fret – the weather is suppose to heat up during the next week so we hold onto hope!

A news article from The Columbian explains the reason why these marijuana beverages were delayed a week. Apparently, bottle caps were popping off and that wasn’t because customers were popping them off, it was the carbonation in the drink because they were supplied the wrong bottles.

As soon as the supplier sends the correct bottles, we should start seeing these weed drinkables on the shelves of Washington State recreational marijuana shops.

UPDATE: Adam Stites 15 minutes of marijuana fame keeps tickin’! The founder of Mirth Provisions was featured on Fox Business! Anyone watch?

Weed Bus Smoking

Weed Bus Keeps On Smoking

You didn’t think they would just park the bus, did you?

While the Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission made it clear that smoking pot on transportation governed by them would not be tolerated, the Weed Bus decided to turn into a private organization. Apparently the Weed Bus is no longer governed by the commission and has continued its’ operations according to a recent Craigslist Ad.

Operator William Prigmore declared via his personal Facebook page: “Just to set the record straight the Weedbus.club is not shut down and never will be until I die.”
