Avitas Agriculture Shows Off Fresh Clean Packaging

Avitas Agriculture Shows Off Fresh Clean Packaging

Refreshing. A while ago we wrote about the importance of packaging design and how it caps off and helps captivate the buyers experience. Especially, when it’s something that was once taboo and with such a colorful history as cannabis.

The packaging design of a product, the design of an interior, or design of anything should not be taken lightly as all the pieces as little as they may seem, help to shape the industry as a whole and add color to it. Not only have we used the marijuana industry in Amsterdam as an example, but we have shown early signs of cannabis businesses and establishments in Seattle (and the surrounding areas) adding a little extra effort to help create an image.

For example, the Amsterdam themed farmers market in Lake City, the Green Lion Farms sticker wall in the employee lounge, the soon to be Legal beverages from Mirth Provisions, and the cannabis packaging from the once recreational Winterlife Cooperative delivery service.

So, yes, it was refreshing for us to see some effort by Avitas Agriculture to help make our industry even more colorful. Enjoy.

Sticker Bombed [UPDATED]

Sticker Bombed [UPDATED]

UPDATE: Just 5 days ago, we featured the Green Lion Farms‘ sticker wall in the employee dab lounge. We had wondered if they drew inspiration from The Grey Area, a famous cannabis coffee shop in Amsterdam, in which they hadn’t. Nonetheless, when Green Lion Farms means business, they mean business. Check out the sticker wall now:

This morning I saw the latest photo posted to Green Lion’s Farms Facebook page. It was a photo of their sticker wall – so far – in the employee dab lounge. It’s awesome! So many cool-looking logos and messages. Anyone thinking of adding to it can design their own sticker and use an express sticker printing company to print it for them. My instant reaction had me wondering if their inspiration came from the famous American coffee shop in Amsterdam known as the Grey Area.

For those of you who don’t know, the Grey Area coffee shop was started by two americans who moved to Amsterdam and opened up a tiny little shop, to sell cannabis and provide a place for locals and tourists to hang out and smoke. They are best known for 1) their quality of strains – having won multiple Cannabis Cup awards – and 2) their walls covered with stickers with american pop culture references.

I contacted Green Lion’s Farms and asked if they were indeed inspired by Grey Area in Amsterdam. Chris Kelly, CEO, responded that they were not but suggested they might be now.

Sure enough, minutes later, Green Lion Farms posted this to their Facebook:

I am looking forward to the outcome of this sticker bomb. And please keep us up to date! But Chris, if you want to go the whole nine yards, rolling papers – in addition to the stickers – with a little written messages. Trust me.

Topping it off with tiny little messages written on rolling papers.
