Top 5 Washington State Recreational Marijuana Stores (Total Sales)

October 14, 2014 By Manic Conrad

Washington State Recreational Marijuana Stores Total Sales

Even if we gave you several guesses, chances are you probably wouldn’t have guessed the Washington State recreational marijuana store with the most total sales (year to date or for the latest month of September). And if your guess was Cannabis City, which would make sense considering Seattle is by far the most populated city in the state, you would be wrong! Although, the city’s first pot shop did rank in the top 5 despite early hurdles of trying to remain stocked with product while keeping up with demand.

Here are the Top 5 Washington State recreational cannabis stores in order of:

Total Sales For Latest Month (September)

1. Herbal Nation – Bothel – $815,176

2. Cannabis City – Seattle – $639,862

3. New Vansterdam – Vancouver –  $592,495

4. Rainier On Pine – Tacoma –  $397,491

5. Spokane Green Leaf – Spokane –  $350,899

The number one recreational marijuana store in terms of total sales for the month of September is Bothel’s Herbal Nation. This legal weed shop is quickly becoming a favorite of connoisseurs with its’ large variety of cannabis flowers and edibles to choose from. Our reviewer wrote about Avita’s Agriculture’s Plushberry and Mickey Kush, both of which were purchased at Herbal Nation. New Vansterdam was a surprise for us at #3, but we imagine sitting so closely to the Oregon border and just North of Portland has helped business just a little. Rounding off the list is a Tacoma and Spokane pot shop.

Total Sales (July, August, September)

1. New Vansterdam – Vancouver –  $1,547,246

2. Herbal Nation – Bothel – $1,261,853

3. Cannabis City – Seattle – $1,183,962

4. Main Street Marijuana -Vancouver –  $1,070,670

5. Spokane Green Leaf – Tacoma –  $935,840

Would you believe that the Washington State marijuana store with the most total sales, so far this year, is Vancouver’s New Vansterdam? The same retail shops which are on the ‘Total Sales For Latest Month’ list, make up this list as well, except for Main Street Marijuana who replaces Space at the number four spot. Imagine that: two Vancouver based marijuana shops are #1 and #4 in the state with a combined $2,617,916 in total sales!

Bang! Bang! We’re High: Introducing Bang’s Cannabis Company

Bang's Cannabis Company

UPDATE: Check out these Seattle marijuana stores for producers such as Bang’s Cannabis.

How would you like some post-prohibition strain of marijuana with a post-prohibition look and feel?

The family owned Bang’s Cannabis Company, located in Cheney, Wa, are doing just that by surrounding their branding with post-prohibition art, which compliments their dream that prohibition would end and they would finally be able to sell their fine strains of cannabis.

According to CEO Lacey M. Bang on the status quo, “we truly see this pivotal period in America as post-marijuana-prohibition and are on cloud 9 to be a part of it.”

The Bang family is currently waiting the testing results and expect the first orders to be delivered to a pair of recreational marijuana shops in Spokane, Sativa Sisters and Satori, in about a week. Seattle area stores should could expect their product shortly after (maybe Cannabis City and Herbal Nation will carry their strains of Cannabis?) Tri-Cities and the Vancouver recreational marijuana shops should expect the product in October. If you check out their website, you can learn more about their story, the strains of marijuana they are growing, the retailers who are carrying their product, and more!

Ever since we heard of this I-502 marijuana grower, we have been super excited and eagerly anticipating their strains of cannabis. In addition, the making a concerted effort to tend to all facets of their business, which includes packaging the cannabis in glass jars to help preserve the quality, and giving the label a touch of identity and character.

Marijuana Tourism Begins in Washington State

July 9, 2014 By Manic Conrad

marijuana tourism Washington State

The Cannabis Chronicles Blog, sponsored by The Columbian, reported on Twitter: approximately 14 out of 200 standing in line for todays opening of Main Street Marijuana, are from Oregon. Just yesterday, a Kansas man made history as the first customer to make a purchase at a Washington State marijuana retail store, when Bellingham’s Top Shelf opened its’ doors. And this is just the beginning.

So far, only 24 stores in Washington State have officially received licenses to sell marijuana. As more licenses are issued and more pot shops open, expect a bigger influx of visitors, especially from our neighbors from the north, east, and south. Soon, several tourist hotbeds inspired primarily by location, could develop. These hotbeds include the cities of: Bellingham, Seattle, Vancouver, and Spokane.

Bellingham should be home to at least 6 recreational marijuana shops. The number of shops could increase as there are 7 licenses at large in Whatcom County. Just a short drive from the border of Canada, Bellingham could see more and more of their friends from the north who wish to partake in the legal recreational marijuana industry.

Seattle, being the largest and most visited city in the State, could see a greater influx of tourists not only from Canada and Oregon, but from around the country and world as well. Seattle will have at least 21 recreational retail shops, but this number could increase because of “at large” licenses in King County.

Vancouver, Wa, just a short 15 minute drive from Portland, Oregon, could become a tourist hotbed for our southern neighbors, who wish to take a quick jaunt over the Columbian River and be free to buy some weed. Vancouver expects at least 6 shops to serve the city as well as Oregon. This number could also increase because of “at large” licenses for the county. While Vancouver cannabis retail shops may initially benefit from an influx of visitors from Oregon, once the state legalizes marijuana (which could be this year) they would have less reasons to cross the border to buy pot.

Just under 40 minutes away by car, some residents of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, may cross the Washington border and visit one of the soon-to-be 8 pot shops. With 7 retail licenses at large in Spokane County, the city of Spokane could be home to more than 10 stores.
